What the petition asks
I have 2 children with autism and anxiety both struggle with crowds and noisy enviroments making it impossible to have a holiday in peek times. My daughters attendance is also poor due to her anxieties and at times finds it very hard to cope.
It can be very stressful as a parent and we do not need any additional stress or worries about getting fined, being taken to court or getting a criminal record when we are trying to raise our children to the best of our abilities. There also needs to be clearer guidelines on exceptional circumstances on taking school leave, how can one head of school authorise a leave and another doesn't even though it's exactly the same reason?
