Vehicle manufacturers to Improve the security on commercial vehicles ie vans

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

The amount of vans getting broken into on a daily basis is rising and ruining people's livelihoods.
Currently the locking systems on most vans can be overcome by a simple screwdriver.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The security and locking systems of commercial vehicles is the responsibility of manufacturers.

You could raise your issue directly with manufacturers.

If you would like the Government to set minimum standards for locking systems, you could start a new petition asking for that.
