What the petition asks
I am about to have my first child, and after looking into my allowances for paternity leave it saddens me to discover i am only entitled to two taxable payments of £140. I believe working men should receive full pay for two weeks of paternity leave, so they can bond with their child with outstress.
The first two weeks of childs life are some of the most important when it comes to creating a bond. To be able to do this without the stresses of money is every fathers right. The current allowance for paternity leave is simply not feasible and a better solution must be found so all fathers can enjoy the early days of his childs life.
