What the petition asks

We believe that our parents are part of our family and the government has made the criteria for the dependant visa for parents very difficult. We would request the government to easy the criteria like remove the age limit and english language restrictions so that they can join us in the UK.

Most settled migrants and British Citizens are unable to live as a family due to the current difficult visa criteria for their parents and this has resulted in the migrants being unable to contribute their 100 percent due to a constant worry and concern for their families back home. We beleive that our parents should be able come and join us regardless of age and english language criteria. We completely understand about no recourse to public funds until fulfilling a defined settlement criteria.
