Improve facility's, pay, conditions for truck drivers in the United Kingdom

Rejected 16 signatures

What the petition asks

Trucks keep this country going everything less babies and utility's are delivered by trucks yet the pay is minimum the hours are ridiculous. Then there is the facility's on the road and the way drivers are dealt with something has to change there is no youth coming into this job for a reason
The evidence is there in plan sight lay-bys being taken away services charging extortionate amounts to park drivers working 6 days a week to make ends meet places u deliver treat u like something they trod on. The realisation should be that truck driver always have and will be the back bone of the nation and keeps the econ going. The trucking work force is ageing and the youth of this country don't want a job like this in this state that it's in

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The pay and conditions of truck drivers is the responsibility of individual companies.

However there is a petition on facilities for truck drivers that you may like to sign Better facilities for lorry drivers.....
