Call the ninth planet BOWIE.

What the petition asks

The discovery of a possible ninth planet in our solar system with an orbit of 20,000 years is awaiting confirmation. This petition is in support of calling any discovered planet "Bowie" after the dearly departed musician David Bowie.
The mass outpouring of finely articulated grief and genuine sorrow at the passing of this genius.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
