What the petition asks
It is unfair such firms disadvantage hardworking individuals and local firms and don't make their fair share of contribution. The reported settlement with Google is shameful and should be challenged. I request others to atleast force a parliamentary debate on the merits of this issue.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Parliament can't impose a tax on an individual company. If you would like Parliament to change the law about how multinational companies are taxed, you could start a petition calling for the change you want to happen.
