What the petition asks
Following conclusion of the recent EU negotiations we the people no longer have any faith trust or confidence in the current Prime Minister nor the current Government on both sides of the House.
Therefore, we the people demand the resignation of the Prime Minister and an emergency general election
Therefore, we the people demand the resignation of the Prime Minister and an emergency general election
The people of the United Kingdom have demonstrated that there is a grass roots movement to change not only our relationship with Europe but to question our relationship altogether. On one side of the House Corporate interests are catered for and on the other a single ethos of socialism at all costs, which is neither in the interests of the country as a whole in the short or long term. We require a Government for the people by the people of the United Kingdom, without foreign dictate.
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The resignation of an individual Minister is not a decision for the Government or Parliament as a whole.
