What the petition asks
I propose a legislation that registers each animal on a nationwide database. Owners are required to take their animals for essential vet visits which will be logged with their veterinary practice. Failure to do so could result in fines.
Essential visits to their veterinarian required of all pet owners in the UK. With fines for those who do not after numerous attempts to contact them. All cats will be spayed and neutered at the appropriate age by legal requirement. Ensuring a cut in the population of stray cats and pressure on shelters in the UK. Veterinary practices will be required to report any suspicious injuries to the RSPCA.
