Petition · past parliament

Increase penalties for minimum wage cheats and more vigorously prosecute them.

Closed 312 signatures

What the petition asks

The minimum wage is important, not only to the low paid but to all wage earners. Failure to vigorously pursue minimum wage cheats has the effect of depressing wages at every level. It is essential to recognize that forcing workers into false self-employment is a common tactic of cheating employers.
