Ensure Sikhs are not forced to remove turban at airport.

Rejected 19 signatures

What the petition asks

There are more and more cases where Sikh men are being forced to remove their turban at European and International airports. Recent case is Mr Waris, who was refused boarding a flight to New York.

The Government needs to do more internationally to protect Sikhs human right of religion.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

The UK Government and Parliament can only take action on airport security within the UK. You could ask for the law to be changed, to provide protection for Sikhs at airport security.

You could also ask the UK Government to raise this issue with other governments across the world.
