What the petition asks
I have a lot of friends and family all stating the same thing, that they have been set up or false accused of domestic abuse for immigration purposes, eg someone who marries abroad and brings the patner to UK and soon after finds been arrested for domestic abuse.
It is very common
It is very common
I have seen, mainly in the Asian family, they go and marry abroad bring the wife's to UK believing it is a real marriage only to find out that they have been used to enter UK and immigration purpose.
Even when uk citizens marry in UK a foreign citizen or illigal thinking its a genuine marriage finds been arrested on false report.
Some People are innocent and are not allowed to the own children because of these false allegation and it's not fair

Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We're not sure exactly what you would like the UK Government or Parliament to do.
Making a false allegation of a crime may already in some circumstances lead to a jail sentence - for example, if someone is found guilty of perverting the course of justice. In other cases, people who are accused of making false accusations may be prosecuted for wasting police time.
It is not therefore clear to us how you would like the law to be changed. You could start a new petition asking for a specific change to the law.
