Help for prescriptions for those with all life long medical conditions.

Rejected 10 signatures

What the petition asks

I suffer from migraine which at times prevents me from even getting out of bed, I am subject to paying £8.20 every month for my prescription just so I can function properly on a daily basis. This medical condition is life long and cannot be prevented unlike many life long conditions out there.
Those who are classed as having a life long condition according to the NHS's exemption certificate criteria receive free prescriptions, this is includes individuals with type 2 diabetes, a disease which is caused through obesity and unhealthy eating. This is a medical condition that can be prevented! So why are individuals with hereditary or unstoppable conditions ignored and not listed to recieve help. The NHS exemption criteria should be broadened to help all with life long conditions.
