Make the Welsh Language an official EU language

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

The EU doesn't recognise the Welsh language as an official language, even though Wales is part of the European Union, please sign this petition to put Wales 'officially' on the map

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

This is a decision for the EU, not the UK Government or Parliament.

The European Parliament has a petitions process. You can find out more here:

Alternatively, you could start a new petition calling on the UK Government to press for this at EU level.
