What the petition asks
Due to UK government cuts to public sector funding and the resultant need for the council to make substantial savings Rhondda Cynon Taff council now want to make charges from September 2016 of £285 per annum per child for transport to and from school or £95 for those receiving free school meals
I am setting this petition up for all children in Wales to receive free school transport to and from school where they fall within the catchment area, and for cuts to be made else where from the council. I. E plants in the community is that really needed?
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
Your petition is about something that the Welsh Government is responsible for. That means that the UK Government and Parliament can't look into it. Transport and schools are both the responsibility of the Welsh Government.
