What the petition asks
Hospitals have been the target of many recent attacks in Syria. All those involved in the death of civilians, health care workers and destruction of hospitals need to be indicted for war crimes. Healthcare workers must be protected. The UK government should put pressure on the UN to do this.
"Healthcare is seen as a weapon – you take out a doctor, you take out 10,000 people they can’t care for"
Over 60 MSF hospitals in Syria have been bombed.
We need to ensure that humanitarian aid reaches the victims of conflict and does not itself succumb to violence.
Destruction of hospitals is leaving civilians in war zones without much needed healthcare. The UN security council, the UK government and all the powers involved in the region must do more, for the simple sake of saving lives.
