What the petition asks
The public is tired of seeing MPs use their time in The Commons to jeer and heckle during debates. The Speaker has a responsibility to intervene more often, and likewise to prevent MPs hamming it up with insults regarding appearance as a means of dodging uncomfortable questions.
Why it was rejected
There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.
