TV Licence Fees - We should have the choice to opt out and not receive the BBC

What the petition asks

As UK citizens we are supposed to be allowed freedom of choice, yet if you want to watch TV you are forced to fund the BBC! I propose a choice be introduced where you can opt out of getting BBC services and pay a lesser or no fee.
Licence fees have been in place since the BBC was the only option. With a world where media, entertainment, tv, radio has evolved beyond recognition why are the UK government forcing people to pay for the BBC when we have the choice for everything else?

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Scrap the TV licence and make the BBC a SUBSCRIPTION channel.
