Allow minimum age for the upcoming EU referendum to be set at 16.

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

The result of the EU referendum will drastically change the lives of the future generations and it is inexcusable for the majority of teens who share a keen interest in current affairs to be excluded from an event that will undoubtedly change the course of Britain's future.
It is clear 16-17 year olds share the same keen level of interest as other voters, as in the Scottish referendum of 2015 the voting turnout of 16-17 year olds was an astonishing 75% (source: Guardian)
