What the petition asks
In many European countries the cross grain symbol is regularly used on a wide variety of food items and products. As a UK citizen I feel as though we, as a country, are falling behind other countries who seem to make gluten-free packaging a priority.

For Coeliac Disease sufferers shopping can be a chore, as well as expensive. However if this sign was enforced on many more products and by a wider range on manufacturers, it could relieve some of that stress and even encourage the 'may contain' products to be made without.
