Petition · past parliament

Allow civil servants the freedom to choose if they support Brexit or not.

Rejected 18 signatures

What the petition asks

This is a breach of freedom of speech, freedom of expression and the basic democratic rights of civil servants. They should be allowed to decide for themselves of the back Brexit or not.

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Civil servants, like other citizens, will be able to decide how to cast their vote in the referendum.

If you would like civil servants to have the freedom to express their views in public, you could start a petition about that.
