People with Colitis and Crohn's Disease deserve a fairer prescription deal.

Rejected 17 signatures

What the petition asks

At present, people diagnosed with Colitis or Crohn's have to pay the full prescription charges for each of their medicines, whereas some other long-term medical conditions qualify for exemption.
Patients frequently require more than one drug to bring their IBD under control and some may need several medicines at the same time while their disease stabilises. For some people the disease can lead to repeated admissions to hospital and major operation.
As this is a life long and life threatening condition we feel we shouldn't have to pay the full amount for prescription charges.
