What the petition asks
If you love seeing children cycling, and want every child in the UK to ride a bike before they are six, then please sign this petition and help The Bicycle Society achieve their mission: cycling to become a compulsory part of the National Curriculum for Nursery, Reception and Year One children.
Balance bikes are light with no pedals or stabilisers. With proven teaching methods, children will learn to balance and pedal competently, confidently and consistently.
Highly engaging teaching and enjoyable games pin positive emotions to cycling, moulding our cyclists of the future.
Benefits:
-Increased cycle safety/Bikeability.
-Contribution to sustainable transport.
-Improved long-term health.
-Healthier communities.
-Reduced cost to NHS.
-Sport legacy.
Every child deserves to cycle.
