What the petition asks

Our loved ones need to understand the dangers in & around open water. The effects cold water can have on the body, The difference between a pool that is sanitized temperature controlled & lifeguarded, To bodies of open water such as quarries, lakes, reservoirs, rivers, canals that hold many dangers

My son was born on the 17th October 1997 He died on the 3rd of July 2011 age 13 swimming with friends in open water.I believe had Dylan been educated about the dangers in & around open water he would still be with us like so many others would be.Awareness is Prevention.There is no cure for this.A persons swimming ability often makes no difference to whether a person lives or dies. Many who lose their lives in open water never intended on even entering the water.Over 400 accidental deaths a year.
