Implement & enforce an improved code of professional conduct for MPs in session.

Closed 32 signatures

What the petition asks

Revise the MPs code of conduct to include:
Respect
Driving positive behaviours
Setting the example of professional conduct
Reinforcing to the public that MPs work for a shared goal, regardless of party allegiance
Presenting sessions of the British parliament in a positive light to the World
MPs have a duty and obligation to us, the electorate, to set the standards of positive British values. Jeering, laughing, mocking, name calling, shouting etc would not be tolerated in day to day life and should not be accepted during sessions of parliament. Many of these in fact constitute bullying.

A thorough reform of policy / conduct is required to improve behavior by those elected to represent us, with ongoing powers to enforce and hold those in breech to account. Promote British Values.
