Abolish MP Expenses! - "we're all in this together"
Rejected
13 signatures
What the petition asks
Increase in taxes, decrease in pay rises, £30pw cut to disabiliy, if we are infact all in this "together" surely ts time for the MPs to do their bit and pay for their own sympathy cards, moat cleaning, second home furnishings, like I have to from my £7.20ph. #nadinedorries great idea!
Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government and Parliament don’t have the power over to abolish MPs expenses. Powers over MPs pay and expenses were given by Parliament to the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA) in 2010.
