Increase funding for student nurses
Rejected

What the petition asks
Each year funding for student nurses decreases. We work full time hours during placements and often act to make up the deficit in current NHS staffing, all whilst receiving the equivalent of less than the minimum wage.
The current funding is not sufficient, resulting in many leaving their training due to financial stress. With such a high demand for new nurses in the NHS, it does not make sense to put current student nurses under such financial difficulty! Increase our funding, pay us a living wage!
