Reverse the decision to shelve plans regarding the roll out of PrEP
Rejected

What the petition asks
Unfortunately the NHS are shelving plans to roll PrEP, a treatment, scientifically proven to prevent HIV with only 1 recorded case of the virus being transmitted where the person concerned was adhering to the regime.
Since the FDA approved PrEP back in 2012 the UK recorded approx. 28,000 cases of HIV been transmitted with many more going unrecorded, a statistic that could be much lower if PrEP were available. With the UN goal to end AIDS by 2030 and the realisation that we can only reach this target by addressing HIV we call for this decision to be reversed.
