DEFRA to 'deregulate' meat industry, at the expense of animal welfare standards.

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

Liz Truss is leading a DEFRA initiative to ditch statutory codes on farm animal welfare and move to “industry-led” guidance. First chickens, in a 'staged' programme of so-called reform that will lead to further deregulation in other meat and animal product-linked industries.
