Change MENTAL health to Psychological or personal health to get rid of stigma

What the petition asks
Sufferers of any psychological issue need to feel that they can talk about their issues rather than feel they will be "branded"
The term Mental Health has always had a stigma and people fear it will affect them in personal and professional environments which results in not wanting to seek help.
The term Mental Health has always had a stigma and people fear it will affect them in personal and professional environments which results in not wanting to seek help.
If the word mental was replaced then people will feel more relaxed about seeking advice and help. By doing so will enable them to speak out without fear of judgement or being branded. We need this to change ASAP and help children and adults get the help they need before they sink into a darker place.
Why it was rejected
It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.
We can't accept your petition in its current form as it does not call for a clear action from the UK Government and Parliament. You could start a petition calling on the NHS to change the term "mental health" to "psychological health" to get rid of stigma.
