Keep 5% VAT rate for domestic energy saving installations

EU pressure is on the Government to raise VAT rate to 20% on domestic energy saving measures like insulation, Solar PV, Heat Pumps etc. Please sign if you want the government to keep 5% VAT, helping fight climate change which currently kills 200,000 people every year (World Health Organisation)

We can't accept your petition in its current form as the action your petition calls for has already been agreed to by the UK Government and Parliament. On 22 March the Government accepted an amendment to the budget which stopped a rise in the 5% VAT rate on home insulation and renewables. It's not therefore clear what additional action you would like the Government to take.
