Petition · past parliament

Make the Polish govt pay restitution to those whose property was taken in WW2

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Many people still have property standing in Poland ( particularly in Warsaw )and other possessions which were forcibly confiscated.
The Polish Government repeatedly debate the subject of compensation and repeatedly rejects it on the basis of not being able to afford it.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. The UK Government and Parliament do not have the power to make the Polish Government pay compensation. You could start a petition calling on the Government to raise the issue of compensation with the Polish Government.
