What the petition asks
Sajid Javid admitted he had not realised Tata’s board in Mumbai would make such a decisive announcement which came while he was on a trade trip in Australia, exposing the government to accusations it had failed to acknowledge the scale of the crisis.
David Cameron needs to get a grip of this situation as the government are in total disarray,” and we have a business secretary who says he knew about the Tata meeting and still wanted to go to Australia.
Why it was rejected
It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
We can't accept petitions about appointments. If you're concerned about a particular policy or decision that's the responsibility of Government or Parliament, you could start a petition about that.
