What the petition asks
We demand an independent (Legal action) inquiry into the Panama Papers and that should the inquiry show that any politician is shown to be linked and/or profiteering from tax-haven linked UK tax avoidance they should resign or be removed from office immediately and monies recovered.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government and Parliament do not have the power to start a criminal investigation. That would be a matter for the police.
