Give mums breastfeeding rights in public places stop the discrimination

Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

We need to stand up and fight for mums to have breastfeeding rights in public places so that they don't get discriminated against

Why it was rejected

It was not clear what the petition asked the UK Government or Parliament to do.

Women breastfeeding in public are already protected by the Equality Act 2010. The Act states that it is sex discrimination to treat a woman less favourably because she is breastfeeding. The Act applies to anyone providing services, benefits, facilities and premises to the public.

If you would like Parliament to change to the law, to provide additional protection for women who are breastfeeding, you could start a new petition calling clearly for the specific change you want. You'll need to give your full name to start a petition.
