Ensure PDA is recognised, diagnosed & treated/educated nationally

What the petition asks
Pathological Demand Avoidance Syndrome (PDA) was first described in the 1980s by Elizabeth Newson. It is an Autism Spectrum Disorder. However it has similarities to ADHD, ODD, ADD & Attachment Disorder and is often misdiagnosed. This causes delays in providing appropriate education & support.
We need to ensure a national understanding amongst teaching social and health care professionals to ensure families already under considerable strain get access to the right support in a suitable time frame. This is especially important in ensuring the right educational interventions to ensure children can continue to learn and integrate with society
