Allow regions of England to hold a referendum on regional assemblies

What the petition asks
the recent revelations of the panama papers highlights the Westminster bubble i feel power should devolved into the hands of the people, it would give a greater voice to regions such as the north and the midlands who are not being represented by a London focused Westminster
i am aware john Prescott attempted something similarly in the past but the direct democracy of regional assembly remains the way forward as these assemblies would be better placed to dealing with local issues and would more accountable to the voters giving the proximity to them it would also ease the load on central government the is already support for regional assembles in England http://www.wessexregionalists.info/ and http://www.thenortheastparty.org.uk/
