What the petition asks

Today the NHS Trust has announced that it will be closing the vital A&E service provided at Chorley Hospital on Monday the 18th of April. This will leave over 50,000 people in danger as the nearest hospital, Preston, is over ten miles away. Help us stop this life threatening decision.

Five days is a not enough time for either the borough of Chorley or Preston hospital to prepare for this life altering even. Preston A&E is already under immense pressure so adding over 50,000 patients to their concerns is ridiculous. How can we allow this to happen?

Put more funds into Lancashire NHS so Chorley A&E Department can remain open
