Give hit and run accidents with cats the same treatment as accidents with dogs

What the petition asks

All cats are domesticated, therefore all cats are pets with owners. If you must stop to report a dog you've hit by a car, why is it not the same for cats? Many cats are run over and left to die, a lot of my pets have had this treatment, but dogs get a chance to be saved. It's time to make a change.

Today, my 3 year old cat got run over by someone driving too fast through a village. This has happened to many of my pets through the years and it has to stop. It's unfair on the owner of the cat as we love our pets like family.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

Make running over a cat and driving off without reporting it a criminal offense
