What the petition asks
Ménière's disease is a rare disorder that affects the inner ear. The disease of unknown cause affecting the membranous labyrinth of the ear, causing progressive deafness and attacks of tinnitus and vertigo. I am a 21 years old Ménière's sufferer and I would appreciate support in this worthy cause.
Ménière’s disease is a long term, progressive condition affecting the balance and hearing parts of the inner ear. Symptoms are acute attacks of vertigo (severe dizziness), fluctuating tinnitus, increasing deafness, and a feeling of pressure in the ear.
The disease can have a huge impact to everyday activities, social/work life. Unfortunately there is not a lot of awareness for Ménière’s disease and not of research is put into this due to funds, however I would like to change this for sufferers
