What the petition asks
Shafik Rehman, 81 has been arrested for conspiring to kill the son of the Bangladesh Prime Minister. This government have arrested several journalists on trumped up charges but never as serious or as incredible as this one.
He is being held on remand for interrogation by the Secret Service.

Mr Rehman, a British citizen, has been a proponent of democracy throughout his life and to that end has written strongly against past dictators and this current government who were elected unopposed when the main opposition refused to stand in the previous election.
He is the person who introduced Valentines Day to Bangladesh, wrote a book against Capital Punishment and his investigative journalism has changed the course of Bangladesh's history.
He is a man of peace with a powerful pen.
