What the petition asks

At the time of the Hillsborough disaster Ingham described the unlawfully-killed football fans as "tanked-up yobs". Following the inquiry verdict he has reported refused to apologise. HMQ doesn't need this sort of "knight".

Why it was rejected

It was about honours or appointments, which petitions cannot cover.
