We want Nigel Farage to be included in the BBC EU referendum debate!

Rejected 11 signatures

What the petition asks

Nigel Farage has spent years of his political career trying to get us the EU referendum and has succeeded with passion!
To find that Mr Farage has not been invited to the debate by the BBC is biased and undemocratic against the viewer's expectations due to being paying TV licensing customer!
I watched a programme (THE AGENDA) on ITV at 22.20 -11.00pm on the 2nd May 2016. Nigel Farage was on the programme and the question was addressed to Mr Farage by TV Presenter (Tom Bradby) "Did you get an invite to the debate?"
Mr Farage replied to the question with a NO!
I would expect (Tony Hall) General Director for the BBC to invite MR NIGEL FARAGE to all the EU referendum Debates live on BBC.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The BBC is an independent body governed by a Royal Charter. Under the terms of that Charter, the BBC is operationally and editorially independent of government and there is no provision for the government to intervene in the BBC’s day-to-day operations.
