Make it law to report if you hit a cat in a traffic accident
Rejected

What the petition asks
There are many cats killed in road traffic accidents however you do not need to report it if you hit a cat, however if you hit a dog or other animals this should be reported. I feel cats owners deserve the same right to know if their cat has been killed.
If you hit a dog it must be reported to the police, however this isn't the case for cats. However cats are as loved a pets as dogs so why should this be.
260,000 cats are killed every year in road traffic accidents however this isn't reported.
