Petition · past parliament

We ask David Cameron to debate on live television, his case to stay in the EU

Rejected 20 signatures

What the petition asks

It is right that the democratically elected leader of our country should take a lead in issues of national importance. In this regard, he should state the case for staying in the EU in a live TV debate so that his views can be tested and challenged. This guards against unjustified propaganda.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

We can't accept your petition because the UK Government and Parliament aren't responsible for the issue you raise. It would be up to television companies to arrange a debate and to invite people to attend.
