Keep the BBC as an independent public body without any government interferance.

What the petition asks

The report in parliament today proposes a new board for the BBC and the end of its independent charter. With the introduction and appointment of members of the government in power.
This white paper published today threatens the independence of the BBC.

Why it was rejected

There was already a petition about this issue. Duplicates are rejected so signatures collect in one place.

The BBC board of governors should not be appointed by HM Government.
