Rejected 14 signatures

What the petition asks

Allow minimum payments such as budget hotel accommodation for travel. Maximum meal allowance of £15 per day. mileage paid at 40p per mile. As per most government funded employment offers.
They should be paid ONLY the national minimum wage for the hours they actually work, time spent on mobile phones instead of listening to petitions should not be counted as "working".
Retirement salery should be paid once MP's have reached the age of 68 and should be contribution based, as per a normal pension.

MP's are not special, they should be treated the same as everyone else.

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

The Government and Parliament don’t have the power to set MPs’ pay and expenses. That is the responsibility of the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority (IPSA).
