Launch an Independent Inquiry into Hunt's Junior Doctor contract & 7day NHS plan

Closed 252 signatures

What the petition asks

The Health Secretary has misrepresented data to claim a non-existent weekend mortality effect. The Public Accounts committee says his 7-day NHS plan is unfunded. His proposed contract has alienated a generation of doctors. We demand an Independent Inquiry into Hunt's actions and their consequences.

Studies demonstrate Hunt's purported weekend effect - the basis for imposing his Junior Doctor contract - does not exist: http://www.theguardian.com/society/2016/may/06/fewer-die-in-hospital-weekends-study-jeremy-hunt-doctors-contract
