Ban school uniform in all High School in Fife

Rejected 13 signatures

What the petition asks

Uniform is a basic part in our everyday lives but when at Secondary school there are more important things. Being stopped by Depute Rectors for wearing skinny jeans or a laced black jumper instead of them being in classes educated. Paying for uniform is an extra cost to parents too!

Why it was rejected

It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.

Decisions about whether or not to require pupils to wear a uniform are the responsibility of individual schools and their governing bodies.

In any case, education in Scotland is the responsibility of the Scottish Government, not the UK Government and Parliament. That means that we can't accept petitions about education issues in Scotland.
