Give Christine Davis the opportunity to work as a Registered Nurse in the UK
Rejected

What the petition asks
I am a British citizen who is also registered as a nurse in Florida, USA. I worked as nurse there for 11 months after receiving my 4-year degree: Bachelor of Science in Nursing. After my American work visa expired, I returned to the UK and applied for an NMC pin. I was REJECTED.
A SOLUTION:
I ask that you reopen my NMC application for becoming a nurse in the UK and grant me the opportunity to show my competence by taking Part 1 test of competence (CBT) and Part 2 test of competence (OSCE), which is required for all foreign-trained nurses to take before they are granted registration onto the NMC nursing register.

Why it was rejected
It asked for something that is not the responsibility of the UK Government or Parliament.
The Government cannot interfere with operational decisions of the Nursing and Midwifery Council.
The Department of Health is currently running a consultation, which is due to close on 17 June 2016, about changes to Nursing and Midwifery Council governing legislation to modernise midwifery regulation and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of fitness to practise processes. You can contribute a response to the consultation here:
